The Martel Family Tree (Patreon)

i love this dysfunctional family so i just had to make a tree.

Louis’ is the first and only son from a marquis family in Belgium, early 1900s. His parents, Henri and Géraldine (Dina for short) were arranged to marry and swapped their vows when Dina was 24 and Henri 29.

Dina had complications with her pregnancy and generally was very weak physically. She had plenty of miscarriages before Louis was made, and she knew her son would be something great! She wanted to name him after the French kings.

Unfortunately, Dina did not survive the birth and bled out after Louis was born. Henri loved his wife more than anything and blames Louis for taking her away from him. He never made a connection with him.

After about a year after Dina’s death, Henri remarried a close relative to their friends, Iris and Darius Augustus (noble family from then netherlands) and that’s when Johanna became Louis’ new step mother. Thankfully she was the only light in his life and always saw him as her own.

This is just a short description of this family’s beginning but I will gladly share more if it’s for anyone’s interest 😳💕
