Hey all!

I wanted to update you on things, keep you all in the loop with my development of the visual novel. I'll try to organize my thoughts by order of importance.

My Goals For the Game

I'm pretty much done with writing new ideas. Everything is ironed out and I'm about ready to put the game to rest. Polish it up, try to make it cohesive and fun. There's a lot of things I didn't develop as much as I wanted to, but part of that is the game morphing and changing over time. It ballooned to be way bigger mechanically and in terms of content than I first thought. I want to do this because I'm very interested in a new type of game project that I've been hypothesizing. Smaller stories about just one dateable character, with a few dramatically different branching paths. I've spent some of my free time talking to people about fun ideas, and I'm VERY excited about it. I think that it's much more in line with what you folks would enjoy, too.

This game has been really fun but the content bloat prevents me from following storylines I want to. I want to make some smaller games that I can focus around topics I like, with new characters that I'm fresh with. More nsfw topics, more funny plots, creativity, and ideas that don't need to mesh with the other content of a big project.


Where is it at now?

Honestly, there's not too much more to go. I want to devote my development time to a few changes and additions. Extra dialogue, balancing Jim's maze, and of course wrapping up the game's main plot. The last one is what I've spent a lot of time working on so far. I'm going to give the chance to speak to everyone, to answer some questions I've set up from the beginning, and to select the kind of ending you want. I'm trying to pull out all the stops for this last section. The goal is still to have it done in late September or early October


The next update is not the last.

I'm going to finish it and likely do some hotfixing. I want to be sure the game's current content is polished up and playable in its final state, so I'll likely keep updating it through October and try to have it finalized then.
