Pixel Scan Logo Reveal Effect Download (Patreon)

Hey fam, hope you are doing so well! I have an exciting download for you this week.  In Motion, on my channel, I showed how to create this pixel scan logo reveal effect!

A couple things to note with this particular effect. Due to how it's set up, it doesn't work super great with items that have a drop shadow. You can see in the thumbnail of this video there is a pixel edge artifact. I tried fixing it, but it's something I can't seem to figure out just yet!  However, it happened to look great for the thumbnail, so I just kept it!

Another thing, I was working hard to make this effect have an on and off animation. However, this posed some much larger issues that I had originally anticipated, so to get this video out on time, I had to forego that capability.  But I am hoping to add that farther down the road if at all possible.

If you want the effect to wipe off, you can apply the effect to whatever you like, then put everything inside of a compound clip. Then simply reverse that clip, and the effect will wipe off.

Installation Instructions

To install, you will need Final Cut Pro 10.4+

Unzip the file, then copy the "The Final Cut Bro" folder into Movies > Motion Templates > Effects.  If you already have a Final Cut Bro folder, do not replace it! Just copy the contents of the pixel scan reveal folder into the "The Final Cut Bro" folder.  Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any troubles!
