....... And the next year starts. :P This month is structurally fairly similar to last month, just with a bit less content on the real world corruption scenes - since the week will need to share some of its time with some of the usual start of the update bugfix/conceptual work stuff - and some more lewd content on the Maid Academy side on the other hand, starting the Paulina side of the area. So, let's hopp into it!

Week 1: As mentioned above, we have some usual bugfixing and concept work going on. I did some bugfixing for the hotfix already and most of the remaining work is on the side of our assistant developer Trihan, so let's see what's left on Friday for me to take care of. Today I'm mostly just taking off since it's holiday and I'm tired from New Years, and then tomorrow I need to plan out the first level of the final dungeon in week 3. And then the remaining time is going to go into corruption scene dev. I plan to focus on the Laura side of events. If you remember the application lewd scene from our assistant writer Absurdity from over a year ago, the events I will continue the Homeworking project/bullying storyyline and work towards that scene.

Week 2: Aaand then we are back to the Maid Academy. I plan to add the remaining 2 Maid Trainings this month and then otherwise I will be filling up the week with just some general work on the Maid Academy by adding some further NPCs, some background lore and hints, etc. Pretty much a straightforward continuation from the Maid Academy work in our previous update.

Week 3: I might switch this one with week 4, depending on the progress speed of our mapper. Basically, again continuation from the dungeon work of last month, focusing on progressing the content on the final dungeon. Last month we replaced the crystal cavern stub map, this month we will add the first level of Richard's Domain. I still need to work out how "conceptual" the dungeon will be, or if it will be mostly like a regular domain. 

The plan is for each dungeon to have a Demon General at the end if they survived their encounter with Aura, or have not been hunted at all. I still need to work out if the dungeons will have some thematical connection with their demon general, which I feel might geht a bit too complicated. I will probably keep it light. Like this first level (which would correspond to Mammon's) potentially having some "greed" themed elements but otherwise being a regular domain with just powerful enemies. Or Leviathan's being an Underwater Domain with Envy based fragments and demons, rather than coming up special envy mechanics for the dungeon. I  

Week 4: And then we have a second dev week for the Maid Academy, this time focused on Vice from Aura's perspective / lewd from Paulina's perspective. I still need to work out how exactly the rules will exactly work out for Paulina's corruption. Most likely there will be corruption (early in the chain) and then (high) vice based options to use the Soul-Contract of Paulina to make her mind more feminine and getting Maid Points as reward from her patron. As a result of the choice, a lewd scene with Paulina and her patron would then play at the end of the day. Something like that. 

That covers the geneeral plan of what I want to be working on for the month. Next, let's take a look at what our freelancers will be working on

Art

It's been a while since we looked at a projection from the art commissioning plan. Since we have worked down all the items from the last one, let's look at the new 3-month projection.

On the character art side, we are nearly done. This month I will be commissioning the Laura character art, completing the character art for the existing characters. For the Maid Academy storyline, the above-mentioned influence from Aura will also lead to a character art change for Paulina, whose character art update is therefore next in the priority line. For Laura, we also need a corrupted gyaru version for later down the road, so we will finishing off that last piece of character artwork next month.

For the H-CGs, I would usually write down that we will be doing polls, but right now the number of outstanding unillustrated H-CG scenes is so small, there is a pretty much "forced" order. The Lewd Streaming 3 scene is the currently longest unillustrated scene in the game, so that will be next in line for the H-CG production.

And then, with the Maid Academy scenes being the ones currently next in the work pipeline, they will be scheduled for February and March and then will be back to the real world to take care of the currently only other outstanding H-scene which is the Cheerleading Game 3 H-CG.

Then, for March you can see quite a lot of question marks. We will be done with the character artwork for the side characters, so we will need to look at which meaningful art improvements we can get into the game using the limited character art budget. I know a lot of people would like to see Aura's shoes, so maybe "popup image items" in the center of the screen for stuff like that. Although my personal preference would be photo CGs for stuff like some of Aura's selfies (e.g. the one she took together with the basketball player) or photos like the early game scene where Aura sees Alicia in the fashion magazine (wearing what we later find out to be Aura's gyaru outfit), etc. 

I will probably create a poll to get an image of which these have the highest demand. We only need to be careful that the remaining budget here is really small, since I also expect that we will need to eventually pour everything together to finish off the H-CGs in the last dev months for 1.0.

Writing

Our assistant writer Absurdity will (for now) be back to writing lewd content after the pretty much past half year of questing work. The focus will be on finishing off the brothel area with some new costumers for Aura. We only discussed it a bit last year, hopefully I can implement his manuscripts for these new costumers next month.

RPGMaker Dev

Trihan is currently on bugfixing duty, and then has remaining outstanding work on the refactoring side with some workload from the plugin structure refactoring (making it reusable in future projects) we had started in September ongoing. And then we have the menu improvements from the mockups next up in his pipeline. Beyond that, I have discussed with Trihan and Absurdity which quests I hope they can care off until 1.0 gets finished, but that's a story for after all that.

Aaaaand that's the plan for the month. There is one more thing I didn't note down here, but for which I will create another post before Friday. It concerns the Android version and how my fight against the framework we have been using for our current port has lead me to create new port with a completely different approach and what android players will need to do to preserve their saves (will be possible by require to turn on External Saves before upgrading). 

I will post more on that on Thursday or so, for now I will just go back to friends in a couple of hours and eat the remainders of yesterday's New Years dinner. :)
