The next menu improvements won't deal with adding new menus, but instead I want to provide some minor improvements throughout. Here are couple of mockups from the UI artists showing the planned improvements.

In the battle menu, you will be able to use the <- and -> buttons to navigate through the circle menu. So for example pressing <- when being in the Special Menu with take you to Martials and -> to Magic. This way people who only want to use the arrow buttons and no Q/E buttons for navigating will be able to get to these submenus. And it's still a couple clicks less than the default RPGMaker menu.

In the item and in the skill menu, I want to mark new items/skills with a NEW marker, hoping this will make it easier to spot newly obtained items/skills when the lists have grown rather full. This way the current menus should better scale to the lategame.

In the options menu we will be getting a description box to reduce confusion on what some options do. I think that should be pretty self-explanatory.

In the Shop Menu, we will add a special Eyes of Greed lock mode. Not knowing why you can't buy anything despite having the money is probably one of the most common sources of UI confusion.

In the Status menu, the plan is to replace the Equip section with an Enhance/Autospell/Stance section. Originally, I planned to have more companion interactions where you could upgrade their equipment, like with John. But a lot of them got cut because they are not really important, so we will be using the space to show your skill loadout and hopefully some more people wondering why they have no MDEF/DEF will see that they have Offensive Stance turned on. :'D

Finally, we also got some requests for being able to rename saves. We will probably not bother with supporting Console for this, and even with Android I'm not sure how easy it is to use the virtual keyboard from RPGMaker, so it's possible a PC Keyboard only feature. Additionally, on the right side you will then also find the current DAY under Playtime.

Note that these are all just mockups, it will probably take some time until our assistant developer Trihan will be able to tackle them.
