And we start with the next dev cycle! As you may already know from the project plan, the big goal of this and the next two weeks is to close out the Reverse Summoning Ritual. This week I got the the point where I was hoping I could have ended with the last update.

First we have the battle against Roland. Depending on how much you interacted with him, it you may only get a fairly short dialogue here, but if you have progressed down his event chain you will get additional dialogue and reactions from your party members.

Roland's popularity also plays a major role in the difficulty of the fight, as well as Aura's Roland Adoration level. You will not be able to kill Roland yet, if that was your hope. In order to kill him, you will need to be able to drop his Popularity low enough, which will only be possible to do after the next Roland quest. That being said, if you miss killing him here, you will get a second chance during the Chapter 3 quest Judgement of Pride where he will make a guest appearance.

Besides the Roland battle, I have also done some other general work on the related dungeon area. The Souldust mage now has a bunch of skills instead of just the one passive. There are also a couple minor mapping changes and improvements to the Lysander dialogue. I still need to do more testing, but even if your preparation is perfect, the new souldust spells (and their appropriate usage) should allow you to counter a lot of things you can find in the dungeon.

Then, I have also worked on the next area, from which point onwards we will be on a bit more of a narrative part of the quest. I won't post a screenshot since it would probably easily spoil too much. I was hoping I would also get to the next event, but realized there are still a couple of things I want to improve on the narrative flow, so today I mostly added a couple of stubs that are not yet accessible (Heavenly Path 4 in the changelog). Next week I hope I can finish the narrative dungeon segment and then we go to the boss battle in the one after that.

I know this isn’t in the cards until potentially after the full release but I really hope you will be adding bad endings related to different villains in Roya. I really love this game and I think that would be very nice

I think in the Mid term plans where they tall about 1.0 and 2.0 they mention 2.0 will introduce different bad endings like a maid ending which will definitely Italy get me in for another play through, as I'm not here for the good ending. Even though the writing is excellent.
