Project Plan September (Patreon)

Hey there! Here's the plan for next month. With the number "fronts" decreasing and everything converging towards the completion of the remaining events of Chapter 2-B, the big focus in September will be the completion of the corruption content for 2-B. And then, the other event that will be getting a lot of work is the continuation of the Reverse Summoning Ritual where we made some progress last update but only got started. Let's take a look at the weekly breakdown.

Week 1: It's a 5-week update, so I will try to take some days off this week. I have been doing some light bugfixing over the weekend and plan to continue with some over the course of the week, but other than that there won't be further content development on my side. 

Also, I have been thinking a bit about activities besides content development such as marketing and playtesting, what we could maybe try to do in order to kind of try to get some synergies going here, an what I would like to try here is to do some devstreaming. I saw quite a lot of other "big" devs like the dev behind Karryn's Prison do some devstreaming, so maybe there is some value here that should be investigated.

Mind you, I won't be working on the creative parts like corruption scene creation where I prefer some quiet, but for starters just doing some playtesting and bugfixing together. Something like that. I never tried streaming, so maybe I won't feel comfortable doing it and immediately shut it down. Or maybe it will be too unproductive, slowing me down too much to get something done. 

I checked out the rules on twitch and as long as we leave out the the erotic parts, it should be fine, but maybe it won't and that's another reason to stop, but for now, it's a free week and I wanna try out some stuff that I usually don't have time for because of the constant content development grind. I have added a preliminary timetable. In addition to devstream I will probably also try out streaming some other game, probably Yugioh Master Duel which is kind of the only one game I feel like I could stream and that would be fun to watch. While am at it trying this out, why not try this also after all. And maybe this could also be a tool to drive watchers to then check out SKA?! Who knows. 

Also, I like the irony of the timing of trying this considering we started Aura's lewd streaming event chain last update. :D :D :D

Week 2: And then we get back to the main content development! Like I said, the big goal this month is closing out the corruption content for Chapter 2-B. I will try to reach the main event where Aura ends up having sex with Richard, this week. Although, there are 2 events in this chain that are fairly long, so it's pretty likely that I won't finish the main event in this week, but in week 3.

Week 3: As mentioned above, most likely I will finish up the last corruption event from week 2, and then it's back to the Reverse Summoning Ritual. Not much I can mention here as the event is quite long we will be far from finishing it at the end of this week.

Week 4: And then badk to corruption content. I plan to do Lewd Streaming 3 in this week and also the event for removing the George Guardian in the Main Chamber to start Chapter 3 on the corruption side. And there is some other minor stuff to close out Chapter 2-B.

Week 5: In the final week, I want to reach a good ending point for the Reverse Summoning Ritual for the update. There is certain cliffhanger moment I want to reach that would definitely be suitable, although it might be a bit ambitious to get to it. We will see. Other than that, what I plan to do the boss fights against Lysander and Roland in this week. Time to finally find out what the +/- Roland Popularity messages mean!

That pretty much covers my own portion of the work. Let's take a look at the freelancers to close out the project plan.

Art

The mass cancelling from last month seems to have stopped, but I'm still cautious here. I want to wait until the money is collected for the September payout to make final plans. But I do hope we can turn character artwork commissions back on in September. Currently Emubi is working on Slime.

RPGMaker Dev

Our assisstant RPGMaker developer Trihan will be focusing this month on implementing the second Roland side quest. And our assisstant writer is of course supporting here with his script I recently posted.

Music

The poll for the high corrrruption sex BGM has ended and technically Sketch 2 has won if we add in the x15 votes buuuuuuuuuuuut I am afraid this is a dictactorship after all. :D :D :D In practice, both Sketch 2 and 3 are decent and I think both having about the same amount of votes shows that. 

However, after listening to both quite a bit, there is one big issue that I have found. Namely that the slower Sketch 2 thematically is a bit too close on the medium corruption BGM Lovely_Degradation. I feel like a lot of scenes where Sketch 2 is better suited than Sketch 3, are better covered with Lovely_Degradation. On the other hand, "faster" scenes don't really feel covered either by Lovely_Degradation nor Sketch 2. Therefore, I decided to go forward with Sketch 3, which our Composer is now working on.

I always kind of worry about this kind of decisions, because it might feel like the polls are meaningless or something. Ultimately I would always like to use them as a feedback tool to help my decision making, rather than treating them as something that's absolute.
