Lewd week is over!

Phew, finishing up the Roland scenes was quite a bit more work than I expected. If you have read the original manuscripts by our assisstant writer Absurdity, there has been quite a bit of editing and rewriting since I wasn't fully happy with the progression and depth of the concepts.  So sadly no group sex at the end but instead more expansion on the core concepts, such as a bunch of in-sex Vice choices that are... a bit difficult for Aura to refuse with her head focused on wanting some juicy meat.

I'm still not 100% happy and now believe that especially Roland 6 should happen before 5 progression wise because there is a bit too much of a jump in a forced decision in 5. But oh well, I think it turned out decently all in all. Overall, I have discussed further ways on how we can further improve our workflows so that I don't need to rewrite and edit as much in the future.  Anyways, you will see when you read the scenes! :'D

So yeah, focusing a bit more on reporting about the changes themselves, as I said, lots of lewd content this week. And maybe instead of calling it lewd week I should call it Roland week. I implemented the remaining Roland scenes (and also wrote a new one that was not in the manuscripts to serve as a better transition. In total we have 4 new lewd scenes, the last one being just a repeat scene though. In addition to this, we also have a couple more debuffs that are gained from these events.

One connects Vice actions to lewd actions by making Aura turned on from doing them. Note that the mentioned Rising III here is not yet in the game, so no Aura reaching orgasm from stealing Apples yet :'D Another thing to note is that this debuff was planned as a mental change originally and I still plan to also have the option that you will at some point be able to install maybe in the Instincts Room, if you have some high Vice value. So you can get it early using the Roland scenes without needing to spend Corruption on it, but also get it later in without needing to go down the Roland event route by spending corruption on a mental change.

The second new debuff is called Roland Adoration and you also gain it as you progress the Roland event chain. This one will be used as an interface for the to-come quests that Roland gives out, lowering your willpower when making a Vice decision that would favor Roland.

Finally, the last bit on the Roland content is the H-CG set I posted yesterday. Today I integrated it into the game, so Roland 1 and Roland 2 are now illustrated!

Then we also have two concepts regarding the mental world that I had previously tried to avoid because I found them quite complex in terms of potential gameplay effects: Dynamic corruption costs and auto-activations of mental changes.

Let's start with the first one. Basically, the idea is that if Aura progresses faster in a certain type of corruption - for example lewdness - related mental changes could become cheapter in order to represent her lessened resistance towards the corruption and to speed up "catching up" in the real world to the corruption state in the isekai. Here for example, if Aura already has achieved orgasms, most commonly through sex, the Temperance orb will become less expensive to corrupt. Originally, I wanted to only do this for the Sex With George Memory where the corruption costs will depend for example if Aura lost her virginity to George, because it has quite some complex gameplay implications that I was afraid might make some elements too complex.

Although with a major part of Chapter 2 being done by now, I feel more comfortable with this as I have a better understanding of the consequences. I also applied this principle to the Selflessness and the Diligence orbs which have their corruption costs reduced if Aura has a lot of Vice. I believe this gives interesting ways to roleplay as Alicia, either banking on getting Aura naturally corrupted in Roya and thus making easier mental chanes, or, making mental changes for larger corruption costs in order to make it easier for her to lewd Aura in Roya.

In the future there might be further mental changes that receive corruption cost reductions. Maybe for example Improve Posture could get reduced at high Exhibitionism values, likewise inserting the Lewd Knowledge Orb could have its corruption cost reduced at high Lewd Knowledge.

The other concept is auto-activation of mental changes. The one I had been thinking about since a long time is Masturbation Is Not Enough. You now automatically gain this mental change when Aura has cheating sex in Roya for the first time, so that once she has tasted the fruits, it will be harder for her to return to just masturbation. In the future, I might even considering auto-triggering the Temperance Orb at high lewdness levels. This would allow for various Chapter 2 real world lewd events to trigger in Chapter 1 if Aura is very far advanced in her lewdness corruption compared to the remaining corruption. I have yet not fully analyzed what the consequences here are but I believe it could help in aligning the various corruption forms a bit more.

Okay, enough walls of texts :D That's it from my side for this week! Next week I will be working on finishing up the Mount Firestorm dungeon's last two levels. As usual, you can find this week's prerelease and public patch changelog below.

Hi, I just gave it a try and couldn't reproduce the issue. Could you send me a save where this happens?

Anonymous

sure. here you go. I just saved in the room and dropped it in google drive folder: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_MDnIol-Ir10B1d5fGg37ZFvmCYFuYy3/view?usp=sharing orb was placed there in previous version, I transfered over save folder to new version when only two days left on timer for it. and as soon as I click on it I get an error message. here is screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Lgh4TUGEynQ1wt0EhZZ5kwAWGs6zmgxM/view?usp=sharing

weirdly, when I tried uploading from a slightly earlier save it worked fine-- though I skipped everything I did beforehand in those two days, and instead just skipped them. so idk the difference. errors are quite weird sometimes, I guess.
