Subscription Billing (Patreon)

A bit more than half a year ago Patreon introduced an alternate schedule for billing where instead of at the end of the month, you get billed 1 month after joining.

The major advantage for patrons is that this avoids double billing when joining at the end of the month. The catch: Once a creator switches to it, he can't switch back. So, if there were any unforseen problems (like the payment processing fees being higher since monthly payments are no longer processed in one huge batch; which used the be original reason why Patreon had been doing the old billing way for a long time) there is no way to switch back.

However, now it's been a couple months, I have spoken to some other creators and they had no such issues. On the other hand, the number of patrons requesting refunds from me for the aforementioned double billing have increased quite a bit of over the last two months.

Therefore I have now carried out this switch and anyone joining will now have his access expired 1 month after joining instead of at the end of the month. For those who are subscribed, nothing changes.
