There was only one item on the public patch milestone this week so I decided to stkip it, so we only have the prerelease today.

A bit of a slower week this time around. Totally forgot about a 2-day company retreat I had to attend this week. Other than that, though progress on the Draknor Fortress floors has gone quite well.

In Draknor Fortres there are now 3 new dungeon maps, 3 new books and 2 new boss fights. If you explore Draknor Fotress, you will also come across an empty final floor, that one I will be tackling next week. I only already added it so that it's possible to unlock the last short cuts.

The second boss fight is also a new demon boss fight, which concludes the last demon boss fight in Draknor Fortress except for the main boss fight against Sathanas. Scripting this one was a bit of a pain as it has some slightly dynamic summoning (cloning) and cannibalism (evolution) mechanics. Also don't ask me how to beat it, I only finished the boss fight just some hours ago without major balancing :'D

Finally, I have been also doing some prep work for the UI overhaul I plan to finally add to the game during the first prerelease of 0.24.0. I already posted the mockup pictures, but here's an ingame screenshot of the implementation on the prototype branch. As you can see, I decided to reduce the line number for text boxes to 3 avoid vertical space increase for the message box. In the prototype branch (not the current prerelease) I reworked all 4-line message boxes and split them up into two. I hated these wall of text 4-liners anways. The options also mostly work, although the SKIP using mouse/touch is still a bit janky.

I expect that we can deliver all plugins except the map HUD and the Battle UI in the 0.24.0 build. The only missing menu right now is the Save/Load menu that still needs to be completely implemented. Besides that there is still some work needed to clean up, improve code quality, performance, etc. But luckily that's on the side of the hired coders and not me :'D 

Alright, as for next week, I plan to finish up Draknor Fortress, especially doing Sathanas boss fight and of course integrating the Hermann Sex CGs. For the complete changelog, see below.

I noticed that the file size is about 10% smaller than last weeks release. All good?

Should be. There is some reduction because of "Improved compression of MV RTP BGM files"
