This week the big focus is a new dungeon area: The northern forest of runes! There are 5 boss fights in there, 3 of them completely new, and also two new enemy types. As usual, there are some tricks to the fights, so do keep thinking!

Difficulty wise, the initial content of the area has easier content than the southern forest, but the deeper in you get you will get to content that is equal in difficulty, and depending on your build some of the minibosses might even be more difficult.

For those who are at the edge of getting a bad end: There is some blessed water hidden in the map. Have fun searching. :D

In general however, the new area serves to provide an alternative way to advance into the refugee camp and to become stronger. It's optional, so you can skip content that is too difficult or tedious. I hope that overall this will serve to kind of "connect" the difficulty levels and make the curve a bit more even.

Connected to this, I have also performed some balancing to make the gameplay just a bit smoother. Pierce costs a bit less HP, so when you eat an apple you can use Pierce two times. Slash also was a bit too weak and got a small powerup. Also incorporating Ether into your armaments gives +1 Max MP to make it just a bit more useful.

Finally, thanks to Jane, we also got a bunch new flavor events, this time mostly in the refugee camp, but also some in the church!

  • Increased power of Slash I by 25%
  • Killing Young Spider Queen in vault makes all spiderlings in northern mines disappear 

Bugfixes

  • Fixed missing event constraint between "Evening Chat with Alicia 3" and "Going Home with Alicia 3"
  • Fixed map changes after killing goblins forest of runes appearing too soon
  • Fixed "peron" -> "person" typo in intro and introduced some editorial improvements
  • Fixed Paul/John sleeping and Charlotte partying until "Spider Infestation" quest is reported
  • Fixed Leave option in John dialogue having an unnecessary minimum gold constraint

Wish I had the time to check up on all the updates. Working in shifts sucks and leaves me tired all the time.
