That Homelander scene with him “deleting the crowd” is chilling. The way he’s almost sad after he does it in his fantasy is amazing acting, that’s what he really wanted to do, a psychopath unhinged, a narcissist on the edge of mass murder. Suppose he’s already a mass murderer after he caused the plane going down refusing even trying to help after he destroyed the control panel. He was able to squirm out of that one because there was no witnesses apart from Maeve and her not saying anything but with this one and him killing a bystander being caught on cell phone camera he can’t hide and accept accountability for his sloppiness and care free abuse of power he’s slipping m.
