i think this is the best movie of the four. the quarter quell is different every time, the 50th games is the one that haymitch won as we learn in the book, and the twist was that double the tributes were pulled so he went in with 48 people. can't blame him for drinking so much after that lol.

Absolutely there are two more movies, Mockingjay 1 and 2. Definitely worth watching to wrap up the story.

Mags is one of my favorite victors! She originally won the 11th Hunger Games at age 16. And only a few years later, in the first Quarter Quell (25th HG), the people of the districts had to vote on who'd be fighting instead of pulling names randomly. Absolutely brutal. Edit: Peeta painted Rue on the ground to mess with the gamemakers. He showed off his painting skills in the first movie with camoflague but I'm still confused how he got that good just decorating cakes in the most impoverished district in Panem. I'm choosing to believe they just love elaborate cakes in 12.

Right now, my project manager is choosing the movies. Some come from Patreons that give me suggestions and ideas, she does take into consideration all the comments but also researching into the possibility of each movie to grow the channel.

The "3 finger salute" was first done when Katniss volunteered for her sister, Prim. In the books they explain that it's a way of showing respect to someone. It's not necessarily an act of defiance, although when the man was shot for doing it, it was seen as that. Also, You crack me up talking about the arrows. Afterall... If she ran out of arrows, she'd be dead. LOL

100% want to see you finish out this series. I LOVE your reactions and your commentary on the politics of what's happening and trying to piece together how it will all end. I will say the books did a much better job (understandably) explaining the reasoning behind why the characters are the way they are (Haymitch, Johanna, Finnick, Peeta, Katniss, Effie, etc). Why some things happened that weren't extra clear (ex. Peeta's medallion, Heavensby's reasoning for "returning" as gamemaker). And even why Katniss always has her full compliment of arrows. I can see that there are already comments here explaining some of the questions you had, so I won't be repetitive. But yes, please finish it out. ❤️ Excellent reaction, sir. Thank you!

in regards to what happens to each year's victor...it seems they each get the tour and then become mentors to each future year from their district. i believe haymitch was their mentor because he was a previous victor. their obviously wouldn't be many...(1 per year, spread through 12 districts, with old age and other things killing many off i'm sure.

I'm pretty sure the reason he got such good art skills from cake decorating is because the cakes weren't for the district, they were for the capital so they had to be all elaborate!

Yea Mocking Jay part 1 is a lot of buildup. They are making a prequel film that comes out later this year. November I beleive. Totally different cast though.

Really enjoying your movie watch alongs thoroughly. I watched all of your Star Wars reactions and now I’m glad to see you’ve moved to hunger games. Since you seem to really be enjoying this film serious may I recommend Maze Runner? Similar style plot in a way but also action packed and really well done. In watching these movies with you, I've noticed you actually making a lot of assumptions. Perhaps I'll take it upon myself to start pointing them out, since I know you'd only appreciate the awareness, and the opportunity to evolve. For instance, just here, I've noticed that you're assuming every 25 years they do the exact same thing, and that they put the victors back in the games, when in fact and they only ever stated that every 25 years they do the exact same thing by celebrating and potentially changing the rules. Making the games very different. Then there's a thing about the sponsors. You're making the assumption that they have the sponsors before they go in and that there's a conversation similar to what you might expect if talking to a sponsor. But they could very well the expected to Simply impress the sponsors beforehand so that somebody, on their behalf, has more currency to get them what they need, in the game. EDIT: okay, almost to the end here and, bro, she definitely handed that Medallion to him and called it "that thing" they talked about.
