The budget doesn't just translate to modern inflation. To make this film in 2024, with all these live action shots and animals and explosions and locations... the financial and regulatory hoops you would have to jump through... nightmare. No way they make the money back.

Bro, I just looked this dude up. He was born in 1885 just outside of Los Angeles (the same year the Intercontinental Railroad was completed). He was a harsh man from harsh times. Of course he wouldn't care about a guy's mental health problem... you're sad about your feelings? You ain't bleeding, you ain't hurt! This guy grew up and dominated life in a technology boom. He watched LA go from a frontier town to a major city, then went from riding a horse to school to commanding a tank army across an African desert.
