The cursed king - characters design (NSFW) (Patreon)

I have always been hesitated to show my audiance the drawings of my new project, mostly because I'm afraid of the feedbacks. Will they like it? Will they hate it? At the very beginning stage of a new comics, at least from my past experience, I knew I could be easily influenced by the opinions of my readers, which... for a brand new project... is not exactly a good thing.

For the past few months, there has been quite some turbulances in my social media presence, which affected me profoundly. I felt stuck and couldn't move forward with my old comics, and that's when I knew something had to change, in order to get my creative juice flowing. It was just hard to make the first step. Now I finally did, and I feel somewhat liberated. And I'm quite excited to show you guys a little bit what I have been working on.

My idea for this project is probably not the most original one, but it's something I have always wanted to do: A gay fantasy RPG style comics.  At first, I was looking for ways to make a mini game or a visual novel. I even purchased some software and watched more than a dozen tutorials, just to realize that... even though it's doable, it's very complicated for a one person team to finish a visual novel. I mean, I can do it, but it will take a lot of time, and I'm not sure my patrons will be satisfied to wait a long time just for a release date.

That's why I decided to turn this Visual Novel (Mini RPG game) project into a comic book project. As you probably guessed from the character design, it will be a fantasy, and it will be very erotic. The frist story will be around a cursed king and his struggle to find a cure. There will be different characters, and I want to introduce some interactive element too into the comics.

Yes, I know I said in the past that I have fear about letting my Patrons decide where the story goes, but after thinking differently, what if I treat the story just like an RPG game, which means that there will be more liberty to the story. Just like the game, the outcome of the story doesn't matter, it's the experience that matters.

There you have it. For the next month, I will be working on and post my new comics! The art style will be a little bit differnt, but I'm eager to try something new.

One negative thing of always posting on social meida is that, you are pushed and forced by the algorithm to always do the same thing to please the same crowd. That's why I decide to keep a little distance with my social media now, and focus on this new project. Who knows? It might work. It might fail. But at least I tried. And hopefully you guys will love it.

 And be ready, cause you will help me making some tough decisions on the new story. Hopefully you'll find a character or characters that you can relate to in the story. Cheers. XD
