As a native Californian originally from L.A, I can confirm about people in the US being generally friendly and nice. Even I’m shocked at times when I go to a restaurant and see big food portions. I know a few restaurants are known for their big food portions like one here in Seattle called Beth’s Cafe. They have omelettes that come in 2 sizes; 6 eggs which is the small size and 12 eggs which is the large. I’ve only been able to eat half of the 6 egg omelette and I’m a university wrestler here 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I am a from Los Angeles, CA and I can confirm that people are nice but can also be kind of clueless when it comes to Europeans. And yes. Americans are larger because they eat too much

I have lived in Los Angeles for 23 years and here from South Carolina, so I can confirm that Americans eat way too much and many are addicted to sugary sodas. It a big reason so many people have health issues and are over weight. It is sad. 😢

LOVE having the French versions! When I studied French at the Alliance Francaise on the Left Bank, the instructors would not even acknowledge you, if you spoke some colloquialism you picked up on the street. "Resto" is really a thing? Merveilleuse!!

Native Los Angeleno here too! I never thought about our portion sizes until I lived in Germany for two years, and used to travel to Paris and Strasbourg frequently. And if there were a 12 Step Program for Dr Pepper, I'd be their biggest attendee. Not proud, just sayin'...

Being an American I can attest to this. Especially after dating a Polish man and visiting him several times. We are way too excessive. Love your comics and your point of view. Is there a way to read your earliest works? Way even before your sweet Joe?

Yes, the proportions in USA are large. I wind up not eating all of it. Take rest home for my foster dog or eat later.
