Hi!

My next sculpture is going to be of Dejah Thoris, as the winner of my last poll. I'm making my research for her images, but I have to say that I still feel lost regarding what I should do for her. She has different outfits and I still don't know if she should be a damsel in distress or a fierce heroine.

What are your suggestions for a Dejah Thoris figure?

Damsel in Distress, it always seemed it must be some hidden machination of hers to attract John Carter. She was simply too bloody fierce and capable to truly be helpless. Personally, I see her safe within Helium, reclining casually, an alluring beauty, yet somehow it is clear, touch at extreme peril - and not because of John Carter. FWIW: she is described as unclothed (excerpt Princess of Mars) ...She was as destitute of clothes as the green Martians who accompanied her; indeed, save for her highly wrought ornaments she was entirely naked, nor could any apparel have enhanced the beauty of her perfect and symmetrical figure. ...

I like this one - also more fierce / skilled fighter than damsel in distress.. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/qeYv3e
