From Chris: Terrible Tony Scott movie about an unhinged baseball fan (De Niro  kind of doing a loser twist on his Cape Fear persona) menacing a  superstar (Wesley Snipes) who is clearly a stand-in for Barry Bonds.  Subverts and deconstructs everything people love about the game,  including the father-son bond and the relationship between athletes and  fans. Dark, dark movie with no sympathetic protagonists. Everyone in it  is a villain and unlikeable.

Weird, weird transfer  on this Sony-owned movie. One of the most inconsistent I've ever seen.  Selective sharpening in several scenes, some off focus issues, video  switches from excellent definition to mediocre depending on the shot's depth. Looks to me like a second-unit director had no idea how to film anything like Tony Scott.
