From Chris: Cel-shaded anime movie based off the popular rhythm videogame,  which I've never heard of or played before. For a children's movie, a  nicely crafted story about a young girl Alice who finds herself needing  to remember a certain piece of piano music if she is to escape a fantasy  land filled with a talking cat and mysterious voiceless figure who  looks suspiciously similar to Jack Skellington. Borrows from Toy Story  and other inspirations. Charming and visuals are real eye candy at  times. Probably won't make as much money as that other videogame-based  movie which came out last week.

The cel  shading definitely provides a different feel than regular hand-drawn  animation. The motion isn't as fluid but there's something appealing  about the character designs.
