From Chris: What a joyously fun anime if you are into the filmmaking process.  Absolutely fantastic use of the animated medium to tell this delightful  send-up of the movie industry and the process of making a movie behind  the scenes, from producing to directing to acting. The opening act is  upbeat, energetic and a ton of fun. A mostly clever premise has the  director working on a movie-within-the-movie.

There's a heavy westernized bent for anime - it's set in a thinly-veiled Hollywood and all signs are in English, not Kanji.
