From Chris: MVD basically reissues the out-of-print BD from Twilight Time. This  is an underrated gem of a movie - Jeff and Beau Bridges playing  brothers who have a lazy lounge act together which gets up-ended when  they meet Michelle Pfeiffer's call girl-turned-singer. Sharp dialogue  and a witty screenplay. Clear the studio had no idea how to market the  film. They tried selling it as a comedy but it's not a comedy by any  stretch.

Older film scan by MGM - soft definition and needs a little more color tweaking. Film-like but fairly dull.

I  watched Siskel & Ebert's weekly show back in the day and I always  remembered how they loved this movie. Never saw it for years but their  glowing review always stuck in my head. I don't always agree with their  takes on a film but this time they got it right.
