From Chris: Probably the best-looking anime movie ever made, even above the Studio Ghibli classics. Back in the day I ranked the original BD near the top of the PQ Tiers. For my money, Makoto Shinkai's best film. A journey of self-discovery and adventure for a young girl in a magical fantasy land tempered with death and real stakes.
