From Chris: Matt Dillon's first starring role from 1981 in an appealing tale of  young love. Probably the most wholesome teen romance I've ever seen in  film, which ends in a bittersweet tragedy. Not a bad movie at all, I had  never heard of it before. Set in 1949 Texas as a poor working-class boy  falls in love with an upper-class school girl.

I  think Liar's Moon was one of those movies which may have led them to  create the PG-13 rating - the PG movie has a small nude scene and a ton  of adult themes like teen abortion. There's no way it would get a PG  rating today.

A Multicom property and all  their film transfers licensed by MVD share similar traits - older film  scans from unrestored negatives. Soft, mushy detail and so-so  definition. Better than SD but not on par with the newer catalog  transfers being released today by labels like Arrow.
