Yuuup. That was from Universal's Hammer Horror box set. Had it dawned on me this was coming in, I would have waited. Regardless, this looks like a far better transfer. Anyway...

From Chris: I had never seen this particular gothic thriller from Hammer,  despite already owning it in Universal's box set. Decent yarn with one  fantastic twist in the middle, though a dull lead playing the teen  protagonist mars its potency. I can't imagine Shout selling this pricey  CE version at Amazon's current pricing.

Shout  admits they took this scan from an IP instead of the negative. So-so  B&W transfer by Universal. The first reel is by far the softest and  shows a few print anomalies.
