From Chris: Almost Famous is one of my favorite movies ever. One of those magical film experiences where everything comes together perfectly. Easily top ten or twenty, which is no easy feat considering how many I've seen.

Cameron Crowe's best film, a fictionalized telling of his days as a teenage music journalist working for Rolling Stone magazine covering some of the '70s biggest music acts. Thematic storytelling with heart, sharply-drawn characters, and a masterly curated soundtrack of Rock tunes from the era. I had forgotten how unintentionally sad the commentary can be at times - it was recorded for the dvd's release back in the day and         Crowe lights up talking about the now deceased Philip Seymour Hoffman.

All screens here are from the much longer  "Bootleg Cut" which runs 161 minutes. The Dolby Vision pass and 4K transfer are fine but this is not cinematography which pops on         UHD. Well made but not demo material.
