There are small moments of smearing in the early going, remnants of those compression issues on earlier discs. Generally, this is the most in control the grain is on any of the UHD editions. At times, if I didn't know better, I'd swear these two were 4K masters.

The tremendous texture on display looks outstanding. Close-ups push a slew of detailed images. Long shots perform the same. This is some of the best 2K upscaling I've seen.

HDR effects make themselves known. Superlative shadows keep detail flowing even in dark forests or to a ridiculous degree inside the bank vault. London city nighttime images look absurdly strong, with neon lights and wet streets reflecting them.

Steely color tones dominate these two, rarely reaching beyond grim hues. Plenty of gray is involved too. A few moments can boast about blue skylines and green plains, but those are abnormal by design.

Marvelous. Quite frankly, even astonishing. At times, it seems the minimal attention paid to the video pays off with these dazzling DTS:X showcases.

Accuracy goes beyond even the expectation. The precision of flying scenes enhances the visual side, adding crazy dimension through the soundfield. Brutal LFE only enhances things, boosting the strength of magic spells and adding weight to any scenes of scale. Awesome dynamic range extends these effects further.
