Here's Chris being... not subtle: VCI is lying through their teeth that this underground Mexican exploitation cheeseball from 1969 got a 4K restoration. Probably the most heavily filtered transfer I've seen in over a decade. Ringing everywhere, color bleeding, and a litany of other picture quality issues. DVD quality at best. Worse, the movie is fairly tedious and nothing as engaging as the other Mexican film I recently reviewed from VCI, Batwoman. Santo in The Treasure of Dracula was a tame black-and-white chiller made for Mexico;         apparently a color version was shot simultaneously for Europe with a little nudity. The color version is what VCI provides and once again with a terrible English dub only.

The movie itself is a ridiculous mash-up of gothic Hammer vampirism and a time-traveling Santo, the silver-masked Mexican wrestler. Less fun than I expected.
