California Sketching (Patreon)

Here’s something you don’t see every day from me! Sketch book doodles! (We got back from FC/California trip on Friday, so I’m still getting things together on my end as far as posting emails and work go.) I usually just bring a sketchbook for commissions I get at conventions but this year I’ve started taking along a personal one to doodle in (This book mainly consists of field drawings done at zoos, mainly, but it’s starting to collect more furry and silly drawings now haha). It’s great to have on hand at parties or out to eat! I have a lot of artist friends in the fandom so we all like to draw when we’re hanging out if someone has pens and paper on hand haha!

All the furry doodles were done during Sunday of the con. Our roommates got a suite for a night and hosted a decompression party. There were a lot of artists invited that I normally don’t get to chat let alone draw with so it was really fun just having a casual drink, do some socializing and drawing with folks! I did a few sketch trades with em too!

The Harry Potter doodles were done on the plane back to Toronto. Ive watched the movies over more times than I can count so I had my sketchbook out while watching/listening to the half blood price which is my fav of the films!
