Looks like it's been publicly released on Furnal Equinox's website, which means I can probably talk about it now, at least on here! :D

For those unaware, I'm apart of the Ontario Anthro Events board. We hold a few meetings over zoom throughout the year discussing the events and all it's aspects that take place locally, mainly Furnal Equinox since that's our biggest event. As most know, and like other events, Furnal Equinox took a big hit when Covid took place, cancelling the convention. Because the convention was weeks away, FE's team had already made investments into the con this year. Thankfully, we were able to save the con, thanks to a lot of folks donating the cost of their registration, but it definitely could still use some help and support from the fandom, especially locals who can call this their home con.

I stepped up to volunteer in creating a t-shirt that we could use as a fundraiser item. FE taking place in Toronto, it was obvious that the skyline would be incorporated. The board also nominated a raccoon to be the featured animal on the shirt, as it's a common animal we see in the city, not to mention there's quite a few memes out there relating to Toronto and it's raccoons, haha. We also wanted to make the shirts design to appeal not only to furries, but regular folks as well, in hope's that we'd be able to reach out to them more and help familiarize them with this event that takes place every year in their city.

I decided to provide 3 different design concepts. I personally pushed for A, as I like the composition a lot, and it's the least "furry" but still appealing to our crowd, but ultimately C ended up being the choice to go with, which I'm perfectly content with!

Next was colours. We went with a company FE uses annually that prints their con t-shirts. They are screen printed, so unfortunately colours are limited since the cost rises significantly depending on how many colours you want. We only stuck with two, so I tried my best to work in the shirt's colour in the design to give it more appeal. For colours, I leaned more heavily to B but I actually am pretty satisfied with all three.  C ended up being the final one to move forward and finalize. All that was left to do was add the boards twitter handle just below the skyline and my own signature that the board chair's pushed for me to include, which was very kind (:

And that's it! I'm not exactly sure when the fundraiser will go live for these (likely in a few weeks considering they've already talked about it openly now) but I'll keep you all posted on my social media accounts when they do go live so you can get yourself a shirt while also supporting our awesome local convention :D (They'll be $30cad each!) You can also follow Furnal Equinox's twitter as I'm sure they'll be making an announcement about it too!

Should save the other designs for future years. A is quite cute!
