I'm GoH for FurEh2020! [UPDATE] (Patreon)

Surprise! The first piece of art created for FurEh2020, which I've been invited out to as Guest of Honor, featuring FurEh's mascots and Nicole herself!! Below I'll guide you through some of the WIP process for this specific poster! 

I have a feeling this first piece I've created was and will be the hardest one for me to pump out. It was meant as the first initial piece of art for the con and for promotion. The first piece of art everyone will see that introduces not only me as the artist for next year, but for the cons theme itself. I really wanted people to see it and know the theme right away without being confused. And obviously wanted the cons mascots they have front and center..but also throwing Nicole in there too so people really know it's me and my work haha xD Maybe I'm silly and put too much thought into it..but I think as a result, it says everything I wanted it to say. At least I hope anyway! I have a folder stocked full of reference images of outfits, food, colours, a text doc indicating the specifics of mardis gras, etc. I did a LOT of research in a short time frame for this piece, but I intend on building that research dolder up as I go for sure! 

Below is the concept I felt fitted the first piece of promotional art really well! I did have other concepts along side it, but I will not be posting those right now as I intend on reusing those concepts for other promotional artwork I'll be creating for FurEh2020.

Below is the chosen concept taken to a more tightened up sketch. This was the WIP I had sent to the con chair to be reviewed by himself and other staff members. It honestly didn't need any changes whatsoever, so I brought it right into ink and colour once it was approved!

So in regards to next years con, I'll be there hosting a few panels throughout the weekend, selling my work, taking a few commissions, and all in all having an amazingly awesome good time! Throughout the year (after the art has been released on their social media profiles first, of course) I'll continue uploading art relating to the con and it's theme (Mardi Gras) in hopes of getting everyone super excited and eager for it! (and hopefully encourage some more people to attend who haven't already! :D) 

Like this post, I also I plan on posting all the WIPs relating to the promotional work for Fur Eh here as well, as the artwork is officially released! I'll split it up into separate posts for each piece of art. I figured I'd mention it now to get my patron's pumped as well (: 

It's such a fantastic con, and I had a BLAST attending it for the first time this year, so definitely consider attending if you can!
