I never ended up sharing the WIP of this piece, so here's the breakdown of it!

I was commissioned to create a YouTube titlecard, which was definitely something different to be commissioned for! But I had a wonderful time drawing it! I was given the prompt of this character standing while holding the sign with a grin, and a zebra pattern background.

Even though the pose was fairly simple, I still wanted to give some options and play around with posing.

The client ended up liking B, so I took that pose and began to refine and eventually ink it!

Next wer ethe flat colours! Very simple since the character is black and white, haha!

The text was next to be added! I wasn't given anything specific in terms of font or colour, so I just went with a nice blue, which is what the character's iris' are too! (I did give the client the blank version too in case they wanted to add their own text and paste it on top when editing the video)

Finally, the BG! Also pretty simple since its black and white! I wanted to make sure the stripes didn't swallow up the character, so I made sure each stripe left some white space around the character to make him pop from the pattern! I think it worked out!

And that's it! I'm super looking forward to seeing this piece used in the finished video! I believe its going to be released sometime next week! I'll make sure to retweet it to my twitter when it is released :3
