Keychains, Wristbands and Lanyards, OH MY! (Patreon)

A lot of the breakdown/WIP progress was posted on Twitter last week, mainly because I need a LOT of feedback on the designs. I don't want to create something that won't sell, so getting as much feedback as possible is VERY MUCH needed. 

To start, some lanyards! I wanted to go with totally new designs and base them around things I really like..so pickles and feathers were the go to! :D 

Originally I started with just plain pickles, pickles with the word "Yum!" in between and pickles with terrified cats. Everyone really liked the last option at this first stage.

Feathers in the early rough stage generally stayed the same throughout the whole process (: 

Next stage was the first pass with colour that I put up for voting via Twitter poll! I added in an option with Nicole's face, which would have been reversible on both sides. Same goes for the pickle and "yum!"s. The winner ended up being C! A lot of people through in suggestions to improve the designs, so despite C winning the poll, I took that, and another design and worked more with the colour this time around. 

I still REALLY liked the reversible "Yum!" version for this lanyard ,but the blue pickle jar lanyard ended up winning the poll! So I took that design to the final stage!

I did a quick colour vote for the feather design too, and orange/yellow ended up winning the poll!

So that was that for lanyards! They're currently up in my storenvy now, available as preorders! 

Next is the wrist band design. All I did was a quick poll on twitter asking what everyone would be interested in as a wristband (only using lanyard designs I've already created)

Wandering lynx won the poll! 

I'm not a big wristband person, but the quality of these are REALLY nice, and I literally can't wait to see the outcome of them <3 The black square at the end attaches the wristband together when its printed. It'll display my Nicole pin design as an embroidered logo (: A lot of people seem interested in them too, so hopefully these sell well!

And lastly, the keychain designs. I wanted to try my hand at PVC keychains. They're basically soft rubbery keychains. Super durable, and they look really cute! So I wanted to get both an osprey feather and a pickle made xD 

Designing these work the same as designing an enamel pin. Using pantone colours and what not! So I did another quick layout of each design. I also plan on getting a screen printed signature on the back of each. Yay for signing my work, even as physical merchandise! I regret not doing that with my previous pin designs xD Ah well.

I'm REALLY hoping I sell enough of each to cover the cost of production. I haven't put any of these into production yet, though the lanyards and wristbands will likely be the first since I order those in a group with other people, and they plan to do that within the next month. So crossing my fingers I can at least sell 10 of each lanyard and 30 of the wristbands before then u_u  

That should be it for merch designs for a while, haha! I know I've been going a little crazy with it the last little while ^_^; its just so much fun to do!
