Kodalynx Character Design [WIP] (Patreon)

 This is a commission WIP for Kodalynx of a new Siberian lynx character I'm designing for him! She's supposed to be a relative of Koda's main OC, a cousin or what not. Seeing as Siberians are the more sturdier looking species of lynx, I went with some burly builds for this gal (and kept a lanking one as a 4th option in case he wanted more of an agile figure)! With the first pass for character design commissions, I send out loose body types. 3-4 options is usually a good amount for variety! Koda ended up liking B! So I took that and moved onto the second stage. 

Cleaned up the sketch, sketched in an expression to give her some more character and played around with some cheek fluff styles! The nice thing about lynx is that you can play around with all sorts of styles for cheek fluff! I treat it like a hair style vs sideburns. That's why Nicole's is so long and flowy and full of volume! Mimics my own hair a bit :3 

Anyway, Koda liked C for floof style, but wanted to see what A's little hair tuft looked like on it too, so I took those and added them together, all while keeping the original version as a side by side comparison.  

 He ended up going back to the original and as a final; option B!

So at this point now, I'll be taking the approved design so far, ink it, and will play around with colour palettes/markings before it's declared finished! It won't get too crazy as we know for sure we want this lynx to be a white/silver siberian, but I'll be playing with different hues and markings to offer some different options before it comes to finalizing the design (:
