When you phrased it to the group, having reinforcements for further exploration would help you in case the incident in the hallway happened again. Rather than just more bodies to sacrifice, you framed it as more people to help you delve deeper in a safe manner. They bought the excuse, as it was still half true and fairly logical.

In total, your entourage on return included the fully cowed Serane or 'One', Adelin the warrior and the group was surprised to find that you had familiarized the two minor noble sisters Lena and Diana Arbrook. The group stared at the two girls. One with long silver hair, the other with dark hair of a similar length. Both were definitely familiarized as they stood by at your command similar to the way in which One now did. The similarities raised some interesting possibilities.

“When did you familiarize two girls?” Aiden asked suspiciously.

“Right after my meeting with you. They confronted me and tried to turn me.” You lied.
“So I had to get them back.” It was a weak explanation, but the facts of the familiarization process more or less confirmed what you were saying. You could not have familiarized both of them otherwise. Not without Serane's assistance as a fake member of staff.

Esther furrowed her brow. “Those aren't group familiars like Adelin, though.”

“Is that a problem?” You questioned.

Merit offered frankly. “We will have to see. 'Your' familiars wont help any of 'us' out without your express approval. It gives you a bit of leverage over us should something happen.”

“I already have quite a bit of leverage over most of you.” You remark, glancing between Aiden and Esther. The two blushed to avoid your gaze awkwardly.

Merit smiled brightly. “That is true! Is there anything else?”

It was as you thought, to an extent. One was a cheat for navigating the halls of the Academy maze. You found very quickly that she did not trigger the traps or the statues. That was the true issue with the maze. Any group of students could likely make it through with a trick that Esther came up with during your second incursion. She would write on a hallway to create an individual landmark that you could then travel forward or back to using the Academy's folded space. It was ingenious, but navigation was never the issue. It was the statues, the eyes and various other automated threats that already seemed to claim hundreds of students based on the number of statues lining some halls, and the number of rings in the processing room. One explained with some unseen knowledge as you all moved.

“Transforming into this has conferred upon me some level of information on this place's traps. I believe that as a statue I would have been made with a connection to them. Some of that still remains.”

“Any connection to the bigger questions of this place?” Esther asked. The Goblin waited for a few seconds before she was able to say with certainty that she was being ignored.
“Hey!” The girl shouted.

You sighed and asked. “Any connection to the bigger questions of this place?”

One responded quickly. “Unfortunately I was not connected to that portion. I believe that my 'programming' is simplistic in origin and relates primarily to defending the halls from intruders and coordinating with other traps to do so.”

“Coordinating? Like controlling?”

“Coordinating.” She repeated robotically. The woman still had her mature, lustful tone. It was jarring when attached to such a monotone cadence.
“One method would be to capture individuals if no frames are available and pull them into sight of the eyes.”

“What do those eyes do?”

There was a pause. “I am unable to find any information except to say that it is unfavorable to you all, as it is what I would have to do to neutralize a threat.”

The group cringed. They had walked under several so far. Even with the added presence, they did not trigger. It was the same for the statues. You guessed that One's presence confused them somehow, but you could not be sure. The thought entered your mind that she was still connected to the facility and was leading you all deeper into a trap. If it had reached that point, though, there was not much you could really do. You had to trust that you brought her under control. If that was the case...
“I want more of you.” You whispered to One.

“I am flattered.” She returned.

“I mean... Is there anything you can do to the familiars?”

“In theory I could trigger a sort of reaction by 'accident.'”

“Good. Do it.”

“What are you two whispering about?” Merit asked.

“One made it known that we were entering a strange area. She isn't sure about the Statues surrounding us.” You explained.

Esther furrowed her brow. “W-wait, are you saying we're in danger?”

“That's what I was asking. She isn't sure. Logically, we should be fine so long as we move carefully.” As you said that the group gulped and stared at the statues up and down the hall. You nodded subtly to One as a signal. The statues began to activate and turn their eyes upon various members of the group.

“What's happening!?” Aiden shouted.
“I thought you said-”

You feigned a cringe. “Damn! I think it's the number of people we have!” You lied. Counting the number of statues, there were more than the group could handle, but that was perfect. One moved to protect you with her body, which proved effective as she was evenly matched so long as it was just one. The rest closed in on the group. If the situation proceeded without you making any sort of move, it could have been a situation where the group lost a significant amount of trust with you. However, your devious mind came up with a strategy to get what you want and endear yourself further.

“Familiars! Protect my friends!”

“What about you!” Aiden called out.

“I'll be fine! Watch yourselves right now.” You ordered. You were perfectly safe with One protecting you, but they did not know that. You watched as your two familiars jumped in to protect Aiden and Esther, taking their place in getting captured by the statues powerful grip. Adelin stepped in for Merit as she knocked one away but would have easily fallen to another.
“Back this way! Back to the lab!”

“But the familiars...” Aiden complained.

“You saw those things. We can't help them, we need to get back quickly and at least save their limbs!” You reasoned. It worked not just because it was a command that triggered their self preservation instincts. It also made sense. The entire group rushing in your direction. One held a statue at bay while the collective force of the others were able to clear a path ahead. You all panted as you arrived safely at the lab. You looked up with interest, watching the rings above the belt 'grow' the transported limbs out of them. Including the heads. Everyone worked together to get them off the belt before they were eaten. You looked down at Esther.
“You know what to do. Get their head, then limbs. It's not perfect but we can try.”

“Got it.” She nodded solemnly.

“While you work I'll go back with One and see if there's anything we can do now that you guys are safe.” The group gasped. It sounded selfless, but in reality you simply wanted to return to the marked hallways to see the result of your plan and get ahead of anything the others could do to interrupt your 'programming.' of the new Statues.

You arrived just in time to see all three of the girls being 'unified' into one body type. The same as One. Stone-like material crept across their skin like they were being painted.  The girls slight builds filled out as their hips widened and their breasts grew. Adelin's muscular body softened into a more standard build, in contrast.

“There is a lot of confusion as the mind is overtaken by the material.” One explained.
“I believe if I catch them as it is happening your efforts will be even simpler.”

“You mean... Deleting who they were completely?”

“Exactly. By communicating to them as they change I can copy my own programming over to them.”

You smiled. “Good. Help me out. Get those hoods off so you can get them as soon as they come back.”

One did as you asked. She went down one by one and tore the hoods off. Without them, the statues looked just like flawless, headless stone busts. Slowly though, one by one their heads appeared back on their bodies as Esther worked. The first was Adelin. You stared at her as her wide eyes were overtaken quickly by the same material as her body. Her features that made her unique were still present, but as she was forming she looked straight at One who was holding her. As One spoke something at her so quickly that you could not hear she shook and convulsed for a few moments before relaxing. Slowly her face shifted until there was no longer any sign of Adelin Whatsoever. She turned to you with a contented smile and bowed her head.
“I am Number Two. I am Master's possession.” As she said that you could not have been happier with the results. To avoid any risks you had One, the original, go down the line with the other two as well until you had three copies of her marked as Two, Three and Four. So far as you could tell, they were completely under your control and no longer had any sign of being a group familiar in Adelin's case.

You watched as their other limbs returned, giving them the appearance of actual people, rather than morbid busts. Though, they still carried the same material that made it a dead give away. There were not going to be able to wander the halls of the Academy any time soon.
“How does it feel to know that I'm the one that did this to all of you? You'll never return to normal. Never truly live.”

They simply held the same subtle smile and the ones that had human hands folded them behind their backs. All of Two through Four, and One said in unison.
“We are honored.”

It didn't sit right with you. “Not just honored... Thankful.”

“We are thankful.” They corrected eagerly.

“Down.” You ordered. The four all prostrated themselves eagerly with their hands tented on the floor over their heads. Even One's frame's hands were playing the part.

“Not just thankful. Ecstatic. Serving me is joy. My words... each command I give to you feels like a single thrust of a cock that will slowly, inevitably bring you to climax the more I give. You do not just accept this. You proud of what I have made you.”

The statues in the shapes of women all shook around their hips and rears like they were being pleasured by some unseen force. The added programming added into their frail minds seemed to work it's way into their Cores. You stared down with a smile at Serane. The one who made it possible. You did owe her something.
“You all... I'm tired of using numbers. All of you, each of you since you're derivative will just be referred to as 'Serane.'” They had standard bodies, but Serane's face. It was fitting. It still removed the Seraphs individuality to simply be one of many since it totally subverted her subjecthood. You looked at the original.
“You. Serane.”

She lifted her head. “Yes Master.”

“I am releasing you to the beginning of the maze. I want you to observe any other students that enter, convert them, then return them to the lab. Store their parts for later. Students are going to come in and get transformed by traps, anyway. I may as well head them off and benefit.”

“Understood.” She bowed and left towards the first few trapped halls.

“You three are going to help me the way she did.”

* *

Aiden shuddered. “More of them, now?”

“What are we supposed to do? Leave them?”

“I suppose not.” He admitted.
“But why do they all look like the nurse, now?”

“Something... Something about their programming being corrupted and she was simply the first to free herself.” You did your best to make up something convincing.

“Where'd she go, anyway?” Esther asked.

You smiled, having one ready for that. “Knowing how dangerous this place is, now that I have three more I sent her back to stop anyone else from entering the maze and getting transformed.”

“That's a great idea!” Aiden complimented.

“How altruistic.” Merit smiled.

With three Seranes instead of one your group easily traversed the maze into the deepest section. You finally arrive in a large circular room. There was a view port staring out over a craggy wasteland covered in clouds. As you looked closer you could make out rings stuck in the landscape like towering structure, with closed eyes at many points. As that sight got tiring you looked over what was in the room. It was a terraced room with stairs leading down. On each level there were more raised panels in the center similar to the one in the lab facing towards the viewing port. You looked to the Seranes.

“What do you all know about this place?”

“Nothing.” They admitted.

You stepped forward and for the first time since you entered the Academy the world went dark with white outlines. A white figure of a girl that looked 'flat' appeared in front of you just as she did before.
“Uhh. You're not supposed to be here. You should probably turn back.”

“What'll you do if I don't?”

She was silent. “I think that the important thing to consider is that the knowledge of this place and what it is brings about despair in mortals. It's probably not good for even you, with your 'way of being.'” She explained.

“Now you know about what I am? Outside of the influence of fate?”

“Yeah. So you should probably turn back. Consider that other spot you found a gift... Enjoy it. Do what you want. Just turn back and forget about what you saw here.”
