Alright!  That was an epic scene at the end 👊

Megumi means blessing, so when he stated that something was a blessing, he remembered his son. Toji is this powerful because he HAS no curse technique and he grew up in the Zen’in clan where he was forced into survival mode.

The split red and blue screen with Gojo and Geto at the end was beautiful, and then Geto being swallowed up by the darkness at the very very end. Love the symbolism.

Also, you see the curse spirit that Toji had in the movie with Geto. It’s when Geto looks at Yuta’s student ID after Yuta and Inumaki had the fight at the mall.

I have some more fun facts for you. The Curse Spirit at 8:40 is based on a Japanese cryptid known as a Kuchisake-onna, or "Split-Mouth Woman." This cryptid is said to appear very beautiful despite wearing a medical mask or some other face covering. She'll approach men and ask them "Am I beautiful?" If you answer no, she'll kill you with her pair of scissors. If you answer yes, she'll take off her mask to reveal that her face has been split from the corners of her mouth to her ears (think Dark Knight: Joker) and she'll go "How about now?" Saying no leads to her killing you as well, but if you say yes again, she'll cut open your mouth exactly how her's is. A funny way to escape this situation is to answer her question with "Sorry, I have a girlfriend/wife." To which the spirit gets flustered and apologies, before quickly leaving.

Heavenly pact explanation: Everyone in the jujutsu kaisen world is a normal human born with some cursed energy, jujutsu sorcerers are usually those who are talented enough to use/control it consciously. A heavenly pact is a condition a person can be born with which basically tips the scales of cursed energy and physical ability heavily to one side. Mechamaru(wooden robot) in season 1 had a heavenly pact that gave him extreme amounts and output of cursed energy in exchange for having an extremely weak body to the point he couldn’t even live outside a bathtub. Toji on the other hand has a pact that’s the complete opposite. In exchange for no cursed energy his physical capabilities were extremely enhanced compared to the regular person, that’s why he was so strong and formidable. Hope this explains it.

Also Maki, the second year female student in season 1, also has an heavenly pact like Toji but not as extreme, she can’t see cursed energy but she still has a small amount which she can sense it and also can be tracked by other curse users. Also as her cursed energy isn’t fully non existent like it is for toji, maki is therefore not as physically strong as him despite she still be physically stronger than most humans.

I don't know if anyone is going to quite mention it but that huge group of people at the end that were part of the religious group, they were all clapping BECAUSE the little girl was dead. They cared about nothing else and just her being dead gave them immense amounts of joy. That's why being surrounded by all those people clapping for such a terrible reason, Gojo wanted to just kill all of them out of spite. Geto stood in front of all of them, watched them being disgustingly terrible people, and still told Gojo not to do it, this is going to be a huge point going forward so I just wanted to clarify that part. Also, Toji is a beast just because of how hard he trained. He's basically what Maki could be if she completely devoted herself to training at intense levels.

Happy new year

Maki can become stronger but she can never be Toji. I mean that literally, not in terms of character bias or anything.

More importantly he was born with a Heavenly Pact like Geto mentioned. Similarly to Maki, he has zero/near zero Cursed Energy, but in exchange he's absurdly strong.

sojiro edit

This season had so much work enjoy watching every moment of it 👍

TheGoblerTrainsMovinIn

i dont think heavenly pacts have really been explained in the anime yet right? im an anime only caught up and i dont really know anything about them either

Arsenic805

It was explained in season 1 when Mechamaru was fighting Panda during the exchange event if I remember correctly (episode 16?) Or sometime during the exchange event. Mechamaru summarizes it

Causing60

Gojo being high on life 😂
