I dig the story telling style as well. Not a lot of other shows do it like this.

There is so much heart in this anime. The characters, the music, the brief moments that simply pass by, everything involved creates such a refreshingly warm feel while still giving us some of those eye candy action scenes sprinkled in to spice it up.

Most of the names in the show are very literal names but in German. Frieren is cold/frozen, Fern is distant, Stark is strong, etc. Mut is courage.
