I really liked that transition after meeting the party. We watched a thousand years flashback, so the lapse between meeting the hero's party to defeating the Demon King? Just some frames, "a mere 10 years in a thousand" Also, that makes me think... did she seal that demon because Zoltraak could pierce her own barriers too? Because that would mean she would need to OHKO him before someone of the party died, and if she defeated him with a single snap, she would gain a reputation as "Frieren the Demon Slayer" in history before defeating the Demon King.

She learned zoltraak and modifed it into a demon killing version after Qual was sealed. The rest of the party is strong as well and it isnt freiren alone carrying the party. They had to develop strong defenses + plus an anti demon spell to beat qual which took 80 years, thats why he needed to be sealed. The whole reputation thing was so she wasnt known to be strong before the journey.

You're absolutely right, there's so much stuff that can be used as inspiration in a DnD campaign. I'd see the Scale of Obedience be something like, it compares the total levels of all unused spell slots and the lowest gets affected by a Dominate Person with no save, something like that. But just with the setting alone, it's so well crafted it's easy for a DM to pick up a few things and integrate it in a game.

You know why Aura thought it pointless. You literally just got a whole spiel about how demons view magic and mana. What she said makes perfect sense with the mentality demons have regarding mana.

im a new patreon member. but i never knew drumrolltony was an action shonen trash guy. When I was new to anime, i loved action. but there is a reason why freiren is number 1 on MAL. Its not number 1 just for action. Tony tends to miss alot of key major points in earlier episodes as well. I hate to be that guy that fuds but I am that guy today.
