Welp.
It finally got me.
Sorry I wasn't able to compose my wording at the end, my voice was not gonna work.
What a great finale.  You will likely never see a musical piece tied in with departure like that again, ever.
Tip top.

Yeah man. Although the journey of the 2nd part was a bit shaky. The finale does hit hard. Solid show.

This finale was a lot of what I really wanted from the other parts of it. Words to a minimum while the music and visuals work together to paint the picture. That performance was directed to perfection

2023-11-25 15:55:47 And now you know the secret that was hidden in the title all along. She told a single lie, “Your Lie in April” and it changed her life and brought her to Kousei. When I first watched it, I could tell the “I love you” was gonna come and that would make me cry and it diiiidd. I’m a sucker for some well done romance and this hit me right in the heart. One of the most beautifully animated shows I’ve seen to this day with the colors and how they were used all through the show. I love it

The music for the finale did exactly what it needed to do. Home run.

I have chronic illness that has had me spend a lot of time in the hospital and I appreciate this shows portrayel of sick people. Hollywood always shows sick people as serene, selfless, and accepting of their fate, existing only to inspire the protagonist. This show is guilty of that at times, but I appreciate how it shows emotions from the sick persons point of view, the constant downplaying so you aren't worrying your loved ones, the anger of the injustice of your situation, nervousness at the uncertainty, etc. Being chronically ill is a desperate struggle at times, and so I appreciate how she doesn't go out serenely while saying some wise final line to the protagonist, it's shocking and sudden as it often is

One of my all time favorite endings. Beautiful, poignant, melancholy, but oh so meaningful.

yeah stuff like tiktok, instagram, or any place that has reels has made the majority so inclined to do things quick. In this case some people did find the pete and repeat annoying, but the end does its part. 🙏🏻 Theres nothing wrong, or well its based on peoples taste on what content they want to see. Imagine people watching 100+ episodes, the first arc will definitely be boring, somewhat. But they still stayed, while some left, or skipped arcs. It is what is it really.

Its amazing just how much music can portray. Well no not even that, the infinite potential music can portray without vocals is astounding. This show is one of the reasons that got me into classical piano.

oh, i was just saying that slowburn plots arent for everyone these days, and i think one of the reason is reels, how u can just keep scrolling content on insta, tiktok, etc without the buildup of any kind.

This might be the most emotional I've seen Tony get.

Kaori: "Was I able to live inside someone's heart?" Me, all destroyed: *crying intensifies* This anime was one of the first anime I watched, I loved it as at the same time it destroyed me, plus, it generated an interest in classical music that I have to this day. Undoubtedly an excellent anime both in animation and musical themes, I'm not an expert but you can feel the effort, dedication and love that they put into this work. I'm glad you enjoyed this series from beginning to end, there are several musical series, maybe in the future you will see some, like K-ON (which is a classic of classics and in a personal appreciation, one of my favorite anime), Beck, Hibike Euphonium (which you are watching) or Carol & Tuesday (a heavyweight in music anime). Greetings Tony! Great reaction! (Credits to google translator hahaha)

GraffitiTurtle

this is the kind of ending that really just leaves a lump in your throat that doesn’t go away… it’s a bittersweet ending for sure, just like the musical performance. Love this anime

If your looking for another good (in my opinion) music anime to watch I'd recommend Kono Oto Tomare!: Sound of Life

skrrt

Almost as emotional as when vocaloids are brought up

EdTheAlchemist

The music is unbelievable in this series.

Red Menace
