Man I've been waiting for this moment all day lmao So two things : the required piece that got cut before we heard the performance, Wind of Provence (プロヴァンスの風), can be heard in the 2nd recap movie (you can watch it later if you want to). Secondly, I forgot if it's been told in comments in previous episode reactions, but all the pieces you hear throughout the anime, for example the one you heard on the tv program in this ep or the one you heard when Kitauji was waiting for their turn, all of these have actually been fully recorded, they went to the extent of fully recording all the performances pieces you hear in the anime. You can find them on spotify (i'll link the albums if you want), although if you want to take a listen, please do it after finishing season 2, (there is a reason for that)

I love how you act like a judge/adjutacator at a marching band reacting to the final performance lol. Brings me back to my pit section leader days in marching and drumline. This piece was so well orchestrated and performed though my god.

For anyone interested at (4:44) the Osaka Tosho High School Concert Band plays Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. Also the TV displayed "52nd time in the competition", so for 52 years presumably they've made it to the competition as explained at (5:58). At (9:11) the contrast between earlier episodes when Mizore couldn't even stand to listen to Polovtsian Dances and now is huge. The "confrontation" from the earlier episode and its resolution has helped her tremendously as shown by (22:18) "…as of now, I love them." At (10:22) I like what Yuuko did here. I thought it was a nice gesture, a bit of a morale boost. Not giving up hope despite Kaori and some others seeming to. I think it shows her character isn't just being a Kaori bootlicker and she genuinely cares for and believes in the success of the ensemble. I like how Tony can't help himself but to laugh at the opening. Also, something that I just noticed now is that Asuka glances at Kumiko two times. I figure one of them is when Kumiko plays the piece she didn't before, but the other one is because...? "All of that practice for one episode..."
