I don't think the same theme would be playing, that played during the Shinigami saving Misa, when L told Light that he's the first friend he has ever had, if L was lying. The theme would probably be more dramatic and pressing if L would lie and only test him, as in other scenes where he was tested. Because the theme played during a scene where a Shinigami was in love with a human and died a tragic death. And if L really means that, well, that would be very tragic. The theme is called "Rem".
