Theres always that one detail of each new episode that’s really thought provoking and in todays case it’s how arima kana essentially got gaslit by the industry to think that she’s worth less than she actually is, which was reinforced by the director’s comments about her as someone who is cheap to hire but very good and easy to take advantage of

I mean it's both anime and the fact that some people just look really young even at 25. Specially asian people lol.

This next arc is one of, if not the best, in the story, but idk how much is gonna end up being adapted with only 3 episodes left unfortunately.

I read this chapter in the manga and something interesting is that Aqua wasn’t even really frowning when he told Kana he’d feel hurt if she kept up the attitude. That didn’t really come through in the anime, so it makes me think I just imagined it, but it’s interesting to think that his words to her could’ve just been more of his manipulation tactics to keep her on board

I'm super curious if there's more to Kana's low self-esteem than just the reality crash after her childhood actress golden age + her feelings for Aqua. There must be more to it, specially in this series where there's ALWAYS more to it. She did mention once about how the social media once made her doubt her own life, so maybe she got years and years of being bashed on social media in everything she tried? Of course her sadness over Aqua is playing a part in her current mental state but I really think there's more to her past. By the way, on the "behind the scenes", the voice acting director said the hardest VA job is Kana's one, and sometimes they even call the mangaka to the studio for some clarification. After Aqua, Kana is the most complex character afterall. Speaking of "behind the scenes", I think you would enjoy watching the part 4, where they discuss the soundtrack recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHY11jIL7ZE I'm not exactly saying you should react to it on Patreon, but given that you constantly praise the soundtrack, it can be an interesting watch by itself. Disclaimer: The behind the scenes never talk about unreleased episodes; actually I feel they're always some episodes behind. They also censor posters and manga covers that are on the workshops and studios to prevent any spoiler.

2023-07-13 02:39:10 When I first watched this I didn't really agree too much with the "Anyone who meets their idol is gonna have their views shattered no exception." because not everyone you're a fan of is gonna be an ass. But thinking on it, "shattered" doesn't have to necessarily be in a negative connotation as them being an asshole since even if they turn out to be nice and you can maybe talk to them regularly and start seeing them as more regular, that Pedestal type of view you had on them before is still getting "shattered" so thinking about that saying more and reflecting helped actually understand it better.
