Hahaha I was laughing about the track suit too! I just haven't ever seen a symphony setting with that attire. But the BV's were gorgeous.

I think the reason that this have such a big production is because this movie is being produce by Makoto Shinkai. He is one of the biggest anime filmaker and animator in japan and his works always have a big budget and look very beautiful. Not a bad idea to do a reaction to his movie although his movies are always about teenage love. So up to you. His biggest hit was 'Your Name'.

this movie made me sob my little eyes out. also, when i first heard the song i also cried lol. this movie was insane though, i highly recommend it to anyone!!

No worries about putting up here! lmao the guys up front are RADWIMPS, a rock/pop group which might explain the attire, I didnt catch that before. And you're correct, this was from a performance of multiple scores from the movie. I cant recommend the film enough, just bring tissues

Most of his movies aren't super sad ... more melancholic if anything. He doesn't shy about showing sad emotional shit, but it's usually not really used for emotional shock damage.

Sad only in the way that life can be sad, but not a "sad story" if that makes sense. Like matthew said, Shinkai doesnt balk at showing how brutal life can get sometimes but he balances that with showing how wonderful life can be also

I wish there were more RADWIMPS content, not just the Shinkai movie tracks, RADWIMPS produces amazing music, I just can't express enough how much I love their music. Just a little recommendation of their song Monomorai (I wish I had the money to do a proper patreon request)
