there’s an event tomorrow where people are expecting season 2 to be announced!

Mirrorline

300k yen is roughly 3k usd. Also good job on picking up that bocchi was worried during her mini solo on the first song. She was worried because her guitar was out of tune.

kessoku band actually also released a full length album after the anime concluded that went #1 in japan. it has full versions of all the songs from the anime as well as a few additional original songs that weren’t used in the anime. i definitely recommend it!

I know on your Idol reaction you mentioned considering watching Oshi no Ko as your next show since this one is over. A minor heads up, the first episode is 1 hour and 20 min long, tho very worth checking out to see if you'd be interested in doing the full season

TheBigOhm

The anime was pretty popular so a 2nd season is almost certain. Here's hoping. Also 300k yen is around $2,200

Now that you've seen the last performance, check this youtube video out of the guy who did the music for Kessoku Band playing Bocchi's section during the broken string, might even be worth doing a video for: https://youtu.be/6wAQRxcLUeE

I haven't seen this reaction yet, but since it's the last one, I thought I'd say this - I saw on one of your Bocchi reactions you enjoyed the way that the sound design did a lot of interesting things. I think an option for you to watch/react to is Kaguya-sama: Love is War. It's very popular (same writer as Oshi no Ko which you were also considering), has a decent amount of episodes to get into, and it really utilizes every part of the animation medium, including sound and music, really well. It's a comedy/romance, so I don't know yet if it'd be your kind of show exactly, but it's worth considering!

The Kessoku Band album is so friggin good, I play it in my car on Spotify pretty much every day.

To add to my last comment, people kept saying that Bocchi wouldn't be able to finish the song with the broken string and that it was only "something that happens in anime" so I believe the guitarist's response was to make the video, he's the guitarist for Kessoku Band, Ritsuo Mitsui. I don't want to ruin any fun details of the video but I highly advise you check it out and definitely worth a reaction cause it has some crazy moments! Edit: ALSO, there are tons of videos where the voice actor for Bocchi did a series where she learns to play the guitar and plays different songs from the show.

Oh that's definitely not just an anime thing. Lol. Adapt and overcome. Situations like that happen to musicians

Wingnut353

The OP to Hell's Paradise is pretty rad... this is a direct link to the full music video not the opening version no anime spoilers if you end up watching it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYzgZVhiqmU I believe its called WORK by millennium parade. The oshi no ko and Destoryers OPs are also really good. And checking now I see you already did oshi no ko.

Cassii

Loved hearing a musician, and teachers take on some of the things this anime did

Jarod S

Yeah apart from the general reactions to the absurdities of the show and the comedy, the perspective of a musician/teacher was super interesting. Very fun ride the whole way through. Look forward to whatever's up next.

2023-05-07 07:28:17 Hey Tony. I'd just recently subscribed and I am loving binge watching all your Anime reactions!! This Anime is based on a popular Jrock band, Asian Kung-Fu Generation. They are one of my fav Jp bands. They did a lot of classic Anime ops like Naruto. I'd love to watch your reaction & break down of their music🥺: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDTFSD9K9dA&ab_channel=akgVEVO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mtHh0k6sVg&ab_channel=THEFIRSTTAKE

300K yen is about 3000 USD. A general rule of thummb that is accurate enough is 1 yen is 1 cent.

Bocchi season 2 is going to be made, this was one of the biggest shows profit wise last year in Japan (bigger then chainsaw man shockingly), but it probably won't get announced till late this year, to early next year. The director is directing a new show called Frieren this fall, so it will have to be after his involvement is over on that. Other then that, this was a fun time, thanks for the reactions!

Pleasee react to all four endings

Vicious

Well, if you happen to make it a $10-tier patreon exclusive, I’ll definitely upgrade. Ed 2 is up your alley

LunaDiff

agreed i would love to see you react to their album

TheCeoOfAnime

react to their full album sooo good

JsnSkg

I love that they literally just jump straight into the concert. No recap, no opening, exactly right where E11 left off. Also, Kita's facial animations during the first song were so adorable.

Suggest watching K-on and Nana if enjoying this show. K-on with crazily good endings and MV. The show is also around high school, with relaxing vibe. For Nana, they with crazily good opening, endings, songs in show, while the story plot is more serious and is about bands that are famous. I don't want to spoil anything but Nana is basically a must-watch for band show lovers. The albums of the bands of the show are good.

Red Menace

i love your re-action to the "body surfing" god it was my favorite part of the show, and your re-action to it alone made teh patreon payment worth it

I don't know the first thing about guitar maintenance. Is it difficult/expensive to repair a broken peg, hence why Bocchi opted to purchase a whole new guitar? I'm guessing it might require a whole new neck at minimum depending on the extent of the damage? Really enjoying your stuff, man! I'll definitely be sticking around long-term.
