Oh dont worry. The new bassist girl told earlier in the episode that she have her own band so there's not gonna be any drama between Ryo and her.

A fun episode reaction!! Def ain't very decent of her to miss practice, but she got something else for the band! Lol. Didn't even cross my mind that musicians would be busking in other countries from cruise ships! Super cool! Thanks for the reaction!

The massive pic she's using is actually a type of pick for the traditional Japanese instrument called the Shamisen, which is kind of similar to a banjo. I'm not exactly sure if it can be actually classified as a pick or anything but it's used in the same way so I assume it's fine calling it one.

A friend of mine in Brazil used to do the whole 6 hours of practice in his younger days, he was a taxi drover at the time. his rock star goals didn't pan out but he did end up becoming programmer and wrote the water billing system for about 160 cities. I met him after that, he was still amazing on the guitar, could play anything you could imagine, and had learned all sorts of styles and learned to black backwards behind his back half as a stunt and half to untrained himself of some habits I think... he ended up being by first boss out of high school before I went back to the US and started my degree.

The Onikoroshi Sake brand translates to "demon killer"

Apparently the proper term is plectrum or plectra, which include regular picks as well as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plectrum. The Shamisen's plectrum is called a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bachi

Basicly characters in this show gets last names from Japan Rock bands. Kessoku band gets from Asian Kung Fu Generation and Hiori is from Margaret Hiori from 88Kasyo Junrei. Definitely worth checking them.
