Haikyuu soundtrack is amazing, one of the best imo so I think you might enjoy it. But apothecary diaries is so good and underrated as well!

Demon slayer is a good choice imo. Not a too complex story, some of the best visuals in any anime and on top of that many epic osts. I‘m not the biggest demon slayer fan myself, but I don‘t get why people hate on it that much.

It´s not bad by any means, but as you say the story is really simple and so are the charakters. There is just pure good and pure evil and no food for thought. The animation and the hype-moments are top though. As a charakter driven guy i just think that Apothcary Diaries and even Haiykuu are more interesting

I would guess the hate is mostly bc it gets recommended a lot mostly for the animation work of Ufotable. Which is how it is mostly known for specially after ep 19 exploded on Twitter. The anime is good, Ufotable did an amazing job, but I prefer their work on the Fate series (still holds up even after almost 10 yrs).

I agree that people are a bit agressive but yeah people are not really hating on Demon Slayer. It's just that because of how popular it is it competes with other top tier animes in voting polls that are usually more interesting. This is my opinion but I always say that shows that are good are not necessarily good for reaction content. I enjoy Yuru Camp a lot (to put an example) but I think it would be an horrible anime for a reaction. Like idk about you, but while I enjoy good animated fights I get bored by someone reacting to it. It's not exactly the same thing but it's like random ytubers reacting to anime fights without context or anime opening/endings (unless you're like Tony who has music knowledge). It's the most pointless shit ever.

Apothecary Diaries ez. Chinese Sherlock Holmes that specializes in poison and medicine. The others are a lot of hype and action, which is cool, but Apothecary Diaries is much more intriguing and "deep?" I'm not sure if that's the best word but it definitely makes up for its lack of action with everything else.

In terms of the level of storytelling Apothecary is No.1 In terms of hype and adrenaline Haikyuu is No.1 In terms of animation spectacle Demon Slayer is No.1 In terms of unorthodox main characters and deep lore and complex worldbuilding Overlord is No.1 All of them are top tier and have their own unique ways to enjoy watching.

Once again no real bad options, each offering something different that you haven't seen before and all high quality shows. It is true that the DnD elements of Overlord would certainly make the show more interesting / fun for you, but I see no reason you wouldn't enjoy any of the shows listed here.

While Guilty Crown does have amazing music I would not really recommend that show to anyone. The protagonist would drive anyone to madness, and the show never really redeems itself from that so you just end up annoyed.

Apothecary Diaries was one of the dark horses of recent anime IMO. I simply didn't expect it to be as good as it is. But honestly no bad choices here. I'm sure Overlord's chance will come if it doesn't win here.

Hunter x Hunter, I know the problem is that it's 148 episodes but I think it's manageable. Every episode has a lot of stuff going on until the last two arcs (Chimera Ants + the arc of the elections) which take up almost 50% of the episodes of the whole show and the story is already well-developed before these two arcs. So in a sense, it's like watching only 75 episodes and the rest is like another season.
