To your question about different composers for the episode, I know for sure that its common for different episodes to have different animation directors and all sorts of other staff so its certainly possible that multiple composers were involved, but I'd imagine its much less common. That said you can definitely tell things sound quite a bit different this episode.

arigatouありがとう is used pretty casually; arigatougozaimasuありがとうございます is the polite/formal way to say it; arigataiありがたい is more like "That's helpful" where the phrase is more like an adjective (not so sure cuz I've never learned the language properly). And you can add -shita to arigatougozaima to have it in past tense as people often says "Arigatougozaimashita" when they are leaving and thanking the host.
