This track had some nice small touches you pointed out compared to the standard stuff I expect from this "cute" style of song. Nothing crazy but the extra bit of spice, as you say, is always nice. Also, way too late to be helpful for 2024 but since you brought up the topic... Sakura-Con, the largest Seattle (and PNW in general) anime convention is this weekend. Fun fact: that's where BAND-MAID performed their US debut concert in 2016.

Love the reaction, as for your question early on, the song is completely sung by the JP VA's of the main characters, wish I could tell you more, but there is very little on the internet about the song since it was only ever released on disc when the show originally aired back in 2018
