Well, that was a GREAT stroyline from start to end of this season.
100% happy that we started it when the Anime came out!
It's sad when these things come to an end but I am looking forward to the next season for sure.

Great show I'm going to miss it . Hopefully it's not too terribly long there's probably about half a season or more worth of manga already out. I'd guess 1.5-2 years for season 2? If the manga keeps a good pace and there's most likely enough moneyed interest in producing another season. We'll see

I love that Himmel's words ("Tearful goodbyes aren't our style... After all, it would be embarrassing if we met again") also apply to saying goodbye to Frieren as an anime.

for a series of this scale id expect a few years, partially also due to the fact that the director is the same that did bocchi so they will likely be working on a s2 of that before they get back to frieren. which if we have to wait to ensure he directs again, i will happily wait!

There's a special exhibition event for Frieren in early April I believe, not impossible that S2 is confirmed to be greenlit there, though there's no telling exactly how long it will take for it to come out especially with the bar for production quality being set as high as it is

Seeing as its the last episode, I thought I may as well ask even though I don't really know what I am talking about. Can someone tell me if the drums in the OP hit on the off beat? I was trying to tap along to tune and found myself getting confused.

Madhouse Studio rarely makes 2nd season other than the Overlords series and a few other series but I think they'll make another season when they have enough materials for this anime. The manga is further but not enough to make another 28 eps seasons. I think season 2 is likely 3-5 years away. Pray that I'll still be alive to watch it hopefully with my children.

What a great show for you to decide to pick up while it was airing live, there's no doubt that this one's gonna be remembered as one of the best anime of all time

I like the double meaning of that line from Himmel at the end. He and Frieren never got a tearful goodbye but there is still the possibility she might see him again at the end of her journey when she reaches her destination of Aureole, the land where souls rest.

Season 1 covered first 60 chapters, and it's at chapter 130 now. The manga is currently on hiatus, but there is enough content for a solid second season, plus some OVAs.
