What's up Patrons! :)

Hope you guys have been enjoying all the new animation updates I've been posting. Speaking of updates, I just finished my first 'final re-design draft' for my 'Overview page'. I would really appreciate it if you guys could let me know if you like it :)

MESSAGE TO NEW PATRONS

If this is the first month you've ever pledged with me, I'd just like to say thank you & welcome to ooOLala World's Animations! It's because of people like you that I can continue doing this and I hope you've been enjoying the animations so far :)

Now as you can see in the image pinned to this post, this is how payments work on my type of patreon page. But just to clarify:

  • The moment you pledge, is the moment you're charged - for all tiers (as of now anyway - I'll let you know if this changes in future)
  • The month you pledge is the month you're charged for - therefore - you are NOT getting charged twice wrongfully:
For example - "If you pledge on April 30th, you will be charged on April 30th for ONLY for the month of April (YES - even though it is the last day of the month) - and therefore - on May 1st, you'll be charged AGAIN, BUT for the ENTIRE month of May. So on your credit card/Paypal statement, it will look like you were charged twice BUT the payment on May 1st will cover you for the entire month! :)
  •  If you change tiers as a Patron, you will ONLY be charged the DIFFERENCE, NOT the entire amount :)
For example - If you a $5 tier patron and you switch to a $10 tier status, you will be charged $5 (and $5 on the 1st of every month which follows).
ALSO NOTE: - If you are a $10 patron and you switch to a $5 dollar tier (you won't get any money back but) you won't be charged anything until the 1st of the next month - where you will be charged $5 to cover the entire of that month.

Why do payments work like this with your Patreon page?

This happens for many reasons:

Firstly, my patreon page is a "Charge Up Front" page, which means, unlike some other patreon pages (where you are only charged on the 1st of every month), you are charged on the day you pledge AND on the 1st of the following months to come.
Secondly, Patreon does this to protect Creators from 'pledge dodgers' (people who delete their pledge before they are charged essentially stealing creators' content & doing repeating this every month, over and over) and also to provide a greater incentive for faster content releases to all you amazing patrons! :)

I made this post to address the confusion found on the feedback forms previous patrons left on my page. I hope this clarifies things better :)

Anyway that's everything!

Don't forget to check out my re-designed 'Overview' section on the home page of my patreon page & to let me know if you think it looks nice :)
