Actually I think I know where I'm getting confused. People are sending in their nominations, but those would be doubly counting AS the actual poll. I was under the impression that you were going to take all those nominations and have people vote for the best one. That way there would be more participants. It's the approach I would've taken anyway =x

We can do that too, it all boils down to the preference of the patrons. If you want different mechanics for how polls are run, you can freely say so. This method you mention is not bad at all, but it's not very useful either. Every participant would simply vote for the entry they submitted. Thus making every submission only getting 1 vote each. So for now I'm sticking with the method I chose and then I'll ask everyone if they'd like a different way to go about polls. ;)
